50 people have sent in a deposit or the entire $100. Of these, 32 are alums of Class of 1961.
Larry Hurst gave a budget update for the Event to reflect an attendance of 80 persons.
Addresses are being updated, though the going is slow. Larry Hartmann showed the flyer for the Reunion. He will also help design the postcard that will be sent to every address we have and Larry Hurst will print the labels and mail them.
The website has a list of the contact information for the Class that we have on record and a list of those who have responded. He will redo the lists to make sure they are updated and in order by last name when the Class was at Amat. He will also link the Amat site to Amat61 so that we make it easier for classmates to respond.
Larry Hartmann suggested that we hire a DJ who will play music at the Reunion. He will play softly the music of “our era” and take requests. There will be no karaoke! The Committee voted to hire the DJ at $300 for the night.
On the evening of the Reunion, there will be a short Presentation welcoming everyone. A Memorial List of our classmates who are deceased will be read, followed by a minute of silence. A sheet requesting information about classmates’ lives since graduation will be on the website and will also be mailed so that the “souvenir book” from the Reunion can be filled out. More pictures will be requested and photos from the Tusitalia will also be used for the name tags and the “souvenir book.”
The Class Gift was discussed. Amat will “seed” the fund with $25,000 then do a fifty percent match of the next $25,000. The Class Gift will be set up to endow scholarships for students who
